Greetings to one and all!

As I write this, I’m comfortably sprawled out on a bed in lovely California.  I’ve been here (in California, not on the bed) for a good 1.5 years now.  To include a cliché, it wasn’t always this way.  The first 25 years of my life were spent alternating between shivering and sweating in the Midwest.  Yep, this guy was born in Fargo and spent way too much time traversing Minnesota, land of the Coen Brothers, frostbite and malls up the wazoo.  Since I wasn’t into hockey, football or herding cattle, I put my energy into writing.  I’ve had fun ideas for stories floating around in my head since high school, but it wasn’t until college I tried to flesh something out…and stumbled along the way as I got my degrees in Business Management and English Literature.  I managed to get an honorary membership to the Sigma Tau Delta Literary Society while leading the English Club.  Then it was onto my MBA, writing all the while.

In present times, I’ve started pushing to get my work recognized by the “club” that is the literary market, communicating with agents and aiming to get my writing on shelves.  For now, I’m focusing on using the Kindle as my main means of distribution, but expect I’ll be in a position to put out print copies before too long.  I’m sure it’ll work out if I keep my nose to the grindstone :-).

Then there’s this blog.  It’s essential for all artists to have their thumb on the pulse of entertainment media, current events, and have a real lust for the arts as they are.  Furthermore, art can’t exist in a vacuum.  This page is here for open conversation, reviewing and discussing all forms of art with minimal moderation.  Discussion is encouraged!
